A 104-berth marina and the internationally-renowned Mandara Spa complement Sutera Harbour’s 27 holes of Graham Marsh-designed golf.
The Bermuda grass layout is located right next to the two hotels and marina. The 27 holes (Lake Course, Garden Course and Heritage Course) can be played in any 9-hole combination. Featuring strategic bunkering, superb landscaping and numerous waterways, the course is a challenge for amateurs and professionals alike.
As the starting point from the Golf Club House, the Lakes nine was named for the obvious richness in water hazards and man-made lakes nestled between the undulating greens and landscaped vistas.
Offering a wonderful view of the Kota Kinabalu city backdrop from the horizon across the fairway, the Heritage Course is a peaceful and secluded course with many fine holes.
The Garden Course presents a spectacular area richly landscaped with shady trees and sand bunkers with ocean and island views in the horizon. The signature 24th hole is a spectacular short par 4 with both the ocean and sandy waste providing visual challenges from the tee. Avoiding both will ensure a short but cautionary approach to an undulating green precariously close to the sea.
Sutera Harbour Golf & Country Club also offers the only night golf facilities in East Malaysia, golfers can enjoy up to 17 hours of golf as day.
Rates for 18 holes for hotel guests are (Malaysian ringitts) MYR250 on weekdays and MYR330 at weekends with 27 holes MYR470 (weekdays only). Nine holes cost MYR180 weekdays and MYR220 at weekends, with night golf MYR220 for nine holes/MYR300 for 18 holes on weekdays and MYR240/360 at weekends.
